Blood and Marrow Transplant Doctors
Meet our experienced BMT doctors
The hospital's blood and marrow transplant doctors are nationally recognized hematologists/oncologists. Since 1977, when our program began, our BMT doctors have completed more than 1,400 blood and marrow transplant procedures. As leaders of our program, they conduct clinical research and clinical trials to develop innovative treatment plans. Our doctors specialize in treating all types of cancerous and noncancerous blood disorders. These include:
- Multiple myeloma
- Severe combined immune deficiency
- Sickle cell
Our BMT doctors manage care for hospitalized patients and outpatients. You'll get comprehensive, compassionate care from your first evaluation to preconditioning chemotherapy to transplant to follow-up care.
During your peripheral stem cell transplant, your blood and marrow transplant doctor will manage your care, answer your questions and keep you informed on your progress.
Accredited and approved since 1977
Since 1977, when our program began, we've been Medicare-approved. And we're the region's first bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell transplant program accredited by the Foundation for Accreditation of Cell Therapy. In 2010, the National Marrow Donor Program designated our program an approved collection center.
