General and Geriatric Medicine
Specialized care for adults
Our physicians, who specialize in general medicine and geriatrics, provide older adults with specialized care geared toward their needs in four clinical areas:
- Outpatient care
Adult patients visit our outpatient clinic to receive preventive care and disease diagnosis, management and treatment.
- Geriatric care
Older adults receive specialized care geared toward their needs. Services are provided to patients in the hospital and also at the Landon Center on Aging.
- Inpatient care
Patients who are admitted to The University of Kansas Hospital receive specialized care and consultation.
- Palliative care
This special kind of comprehensive care and support is offered to patients facing end-of-life and life-changing events.
