Cash/Stamps
An automated teller machine (ATM) and stamp machines are located near the cafeteria on the ground floor of the hospital.
Fitness Center
If you are a family member of a long-term hospital patient and are interested in access to Kirmayer Fitness Center, contact Volunteer Services at 913-588-6507.
Hair and Nail Salon
The salon (913-588-2518) is located across from the cafeteria on the ground floor of the hospital and is open to patients and visitors. To make an appointment or ask about in-room patient services, call 913-588-2518.
Information Desk
For patient information, call 913-588-5800.
Newspapers
Newspaper vending machines are located by the hospital's main elevator bank on the 2nd, 4th and 5th floors, as well as by the ground-floor Sudler elevators.
Notary Public
A Notary Public service is available weekdays in the Admissions Office (913-588-5807), located off the hospital's main lobby and in Patient Relations (913-588-1290), located near the hospital's main entrance. There is no fee for this service.
Patient Relations: Issues/Complaints (Grievances)
To help resolve any issues about your hospital experience, bring them to the attention of the nurse or physician responsible for your care or to the nurse manager on your unit.
Patient Relations (913-588-1290) is available to assist in all matters related to your satisfaction. These include, but are not limited to, filing a complaint (grievance) regarding unresolved issues or providing information about talking with state licensing or other accrediting organizations about your concern.

Public Restrooms
Restrooms are located on each floor of the hospital and in each corridor of the University of Kansas Medical Center campus.
To help protect our patients from infection, visitors are not allowed to use patient bathrooms.
Public Telephones
Pay telephones are located in the hospital's main lobby and throughout the University of Kansas Medical Center campus.
Public TTY-equipped telephones for people who are hearing impaired are located in the hospital's main lobby, near the cafeteria and in the Emergency Department.
Case Management
Professional Case Managers are part of the hospital's health care team. They are available to assist with personal or family issues, help plan your hospital discharge and continuing care, discuss your financial concerns and arrange for community services. Contact the Case Management Department at 913-588-2160.
Wellness and Prevention Programs
The University of Kansas Hospital offers a wide variety of wellness classes, health screenings and support groups. For more information or to register for a class, call 913-588-1227.
