The Liver Transplant Program at The University of Kansas Hospital has completed more than 780 liver transplants since it began in 1990. We are recognized as one of the regional leaders in liver transplantation. In addition, patients on the liver transplant waiting list have an average wait time of only three to six months before transplant.

Our nationally recognized team of surgeons and hepatologists are supported by specialists in anesthesiology, cardiology, infectious disease, psychiatry, pharmacology and endocrinology. Our team also includes experienced transplant nurse coordinators, social workers and financial coordinators.
