Guest Services

At The University of Kansas Hospital's Guest Services, located right off the hospital's main lobby, you will find a comfortable waiting room and an attentive staff ready to help. Staff members provide directions and personal escorts to appointments, maps of our campus, answers to health care questions and access to community resources, including The University of Kansas Hospital's own health and wellness programs.

Guest Services also offers fresh coffee and light refreshments, a television and a computer with Internet access for researching health care information.

The University of Kansas Hospital provides patients and visitors with many other conveniences:

• Assisted valet parking for $1 at the hospital's main entrance (This service is offered only to patients who require assistance.)
• An  outpatient pharmacy located off the hospital's main lobby at (913) 588-2316
• Food and Conveniences
  Hot meals, sandwiches and salads are served in the medical center' cafeteria located near the main elevators on the ground floor of the hospital open 6:30am-8pm Mon-Fri and 7am-6:30pm Sat/Sun/Holidays. Vending machines are available 24 hours a day at the entrance to the cafeteria.
• Gift Shop
  The hospital gift shops and the bookstore sell convenience items, snacks, cards, books, magazines and gift items.  Flowers may be ordered through our gift shop at (913)588-5495 between 9am-4:30pm Mon-Fri and between 12p-5pm Sat-Sun. Flowers and Live plants are not permitted in ICU. However, balloons and stuffed animals are also available.
• Security
  KU police officers regularly patrol the medical center complex. They are also available to escort you to your car after dark. Call 913-588-5030. To reach the police in an emergency, use the blue phones located throughout the campus.
• Religious Services

• Other
  A beauty salon with walk-in service is located across the hall from the cafeteria and open 9am-4:30pm Mon-Fri; call (913)588-2518 for more information. An automated teller machine (ATM) and stamp machines are also located near the cafeteria.
