Putting the needs of our patients first is standard procedure at The University of Kansas Hospital. Because of this, when we ask patients what they think of their hospital experience, they give us high marks for respect, kindness and exceptional care.
This passion for service is reflected in patient satisfaction scores ranking in the 90th percentile for the year, as measured by the national Press Ganey survey of more than 1,000 hospitals.
In the survey conducted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, three-fourths of our patients rated their care 9 or 10 on a 10-point scale. And 80 percent said they would definitely recommend our hospital to family and friends.

We achieve such high standards by consistently asking how we can make things even better. It's not unusual to see our executives visiting patients in their rooms or staff accompanying visitors to their destinations. Our goal – provide an exceptional experience for our patients so they can return home to their families sooner.
