A GIFT FROM THE HEART
Physicians from The University of Kansas Hospital's heart program announced a $2.1 million lead gift toward a $10 million endowment initiative, establishing the Mid-America Cardiology, Inc. and MidAmerica Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons, Inc. Endowment Fund.
The fund will be available for a variety of patient care-related initiatives in the heart program. These include patient education programs, advanced training for staff, patient and family resources, leading-edge equipment, clinical research projects and other programs focused on improving or enhancing the patient experience.
This new endowment solidifies the strong partnership between our hospital and the heart team – one that is fueled by our shared vision for uncompromising quality. The heart physicians' commitment will ensure a legacy of excellence in cardiac care for years to come.
