BURN CENTER EARNS NATIONAL STATUS

In the hospital's Burnett Burn Center, Amy Lueger, RN, BSN, and Eric Westervelt, RN, BSN, keep close tabs on a patient's status.

The hospital's Burnett Burn Center received a three-year reverification from the American Burn Association and the American College of Surgeons. In order to receive verification, each hospital undergoes an on-site review by a team of experienced surgeons. Although voluntary, national verification assures patients receive the highest levels of care. The burn center is one of only two facilities in the region verified by both national organizations.

The Burnett Burn Center admits more than 260 patients each year and has been serving patients for more than 35 years.
