BREAST IMAGING CENTER OF EXCELLENCE
The American College of Radiology designated Breast Imaging at the Richard and Annette Bloch Cancer Care Pavilion a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. This three-year designation recognizes high practice standards in technology, people and quality. Ours is the first and only program in Greater Kansas City to be accredited in ACR's four voluntary breast imaging programs and modules – mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.
Our Breast Imaging program brings together all of the hospital's breast cancer diagnostic services in one area for an improved patient experience. In addition to the latest diagnostic technology, including one of the country's only 3-D automated breast ultrasound systems, a spa-like setting offers privacy and comfort.
