A winning combination
Kansas City Chiefs
Leading edge care for players and fans
As fans pack Arrowhead Stadium during football season, the hospital’s sports medicine, internal medicine and emergency medicine specialists are on hand to make sure Chiefs players keep their competitive edge.
We provide leading-edge care and treatment for players during training, practice and games. We also provide first aid care for fans at every home game. The partnership between the hospital and the Chiefs also extends into the community. Our sports medicine specialists work with Chiefs players and staff to offer sports education for young athletes. And by working together, we are able to research sports-related health issues.
It’s a winning combination of the best in healthcare and professional sports.
New home for sports medicine care
As part of the partnership, the Chiefs Training Complex next to Arrowhead Stadium has a new name: The University of Kansas Hospital Training Complex.
The facility will be home to a new clinic for the hospital’s Center for Sports Medicine, opening in summer 2013. Here, athletes of all ages – from youth to adults – will receive advanced sports medicine care in a professional setting. Services include diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, follow-up care and physical therapy.
The hospital offers several Center for Sports Medicine locations in the Kansas City area.
